There's different kinds of attraction?!
YES!! Many people consider attraction to be a simple topic, but the truth is... it isn't! The reason this is so important is because we believe all things in life are fluid. For example: A gay man can appreciate the beauty of a woman, but that does not mean he is sexually attracted to her. Continue reading to learn about different aspect of attraction!!
Primary Attraction
This attraction is based on the information we immediately have available to us when meeting a person. This can include things like, voice, appearance, hygiene, style, and aura
Secondary Attraction
This attraction is based on the information we learn about a person as we get to know them. This can include things like personality, intelligence, experiences, and talents
Sexual Attraction
Attraction that causes a person to become sexually interested in or desire another person(s) sexually
Aesthetic Attraction
Attraction that occurs when a person can appreciate the appearance or beauty of another person, separate from romantic and sexual attraction
Romantic Attraction
Attraction that causes a person to desire romantic contact or interaction with another person(s)
Sensual Attraction
Attraction that causes a person to desire contact with another in a non-sexual way like hugging or cuddling
Emotional Attraction
Attraction that causes a person to desire getting to know another person(s) on an emotional level. Present in most relationships from platonic to romantic/sexual
Intellectual Attraction
Attraction that causes a person to desire engaging with another person(s) on an intellectual level. This can include having deep conversations, 'picking' someone's brain, wanting their opinion, etc. This type of attraction has more to do with how the person(s) thinks
